The Fall 2011 Marching Show is entitled 'Is this the Real Life?'

This year's half time show is based on the music of Queen. Selections include Fat-Bottomed Girls, Bicycle Race, Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure, We are the Champions, and We will Rock You.

35th Annual Smoky Mountain Invitation Marching Band Competition

Saturday, Oct. 22nd, marked the 35th Annual Smoky Mountain Marching Band Competition at Billy K. Nicely Stadium on the campus of South-Doyle High School. The weather was a picture-perfect, the trees displayed their full fall colors, the food was delicious, and THE BANDS WERE GREAT!! McMinn County won the "Best in Show" for A/AA bands and Elizabethton won the "Best in Show" for AAA/AAAA bands. For all full recap of the 2011 competition, click here.

We have a new trailer!!

The SDHS Band Booster Association purchased a new trailer this summer to help transport instruments and other marching band items to competitions and away football games. South-Doyle Band has a rich history that can be traced back to Young High School in 1931. We've been collecting scans for this section for the past four years. Finally, the Young, South, South-Young and Doyle sections are active. The collection is far from complete, so if you have anything you think we could use, please contact us.
