Middle School Bands

Sixth Grade Band

Sixth grade is the first opportunity that Knox County students have to join a band program. Ours is one of the best beginner programs in the area. We look forward to working with the students and providing them with the opportunity to nurture their talent and see if they have what it takes to continue on to bigger and better things.

Seventh Grade Band

The music gets harder and the rewards get bigger. The pride in self achievement is obvious on the faces of these hard working students as they advance their skills. New instrumentation is introduced and those students who are willing to practice hard and take private lessons are allowed to take up those instruments.

Eighth Grade Band

Our eighth grade band program prepares students for the challenges they will face in the demanding world of High School Band. Practice, practice, and more practice is the key to advancement and the fulfillment of every child's potential.

Jazz Ensemble

This is an all volunteer group that meets before school. Membership is by audition and includes the most promising players from the 7th and 8th grade bands. They perform at the Middle School concerts, as well as other school functions and community events.
